Answer: Yes, Ed is a registered Republican and has never been registered with any other party. Ed was a delegate for President Donald Trump at the Republican National Convention. He has also served as District IV Chairman for the Idaho Republican Party.

How long has Ed lived in Idaho?

Answer: Ed moved to Idaho in 2013. He met his wife, Holly, while he was living in Idaho Falls. Ed, Holly, and their young family now live in Eagle.

Where does Ed stand on COVID-19 vaccine mandates?

Answer: Ed does not support vaccine mandates. The individual’s power to make decisions for their own health should be preserved and promoted. The danger of government bureaucrats and corporations making medical decisions for the rest of us cannot be understated. Families should be empowered through informed consent. They choose the treatment option that best fits their beliefs, values, and needs. There is a severe conflict of interest in mandating a vaccine when billions of dollars are on the line as with the COVID-19 vaccine.

How will Ed pay for his plan to abolish Idaho Income Tax? Will we lose essential services?

Answer: Utilizing state budget surpluses and cash and investments (PERSI pension funds not included), Ed will permanently phase out state income tax with no disruption to essential services. On average, Idaho taxpayers would have $3,000 more per year in their pockets. Eliminating income taxes will create an upward economic spiral for our state and increase wages.

What is Ed’s position on legalizing marijuana?

Answer: Ed does not support the legalization or decriminalization of marijuana. 

How do I know that Ed is a true conservative?

Answer: Ed’s mother and brother fled from the former Yugoslavia, which has given him insight and passion for preserving the freedoms guaranteed to Americans in the US and the Idaho State Constitutions. Ed gave up a thriving business and put it all on the line to run for governor because he believes Idaho is the last foxhole for freedom in our country. Ed believes in “equality under the law”; as set forth in the US Constitution; in other words, the LGBTQ  minority population has the same Constitutional rights as everyone else. Ed does not believe in the concept of “equity,” which gives superior rights to minority groups that are deemed “oppressed,” over non-minority groups who are deemed as “oppressors.” This is a socialist/Marxist construct that is unlawful under the US Constitution.

Ed is researching the Utah Law but is not making a statement on that law at this time.
